With 15+ years-experience in the Mortgage Broking industry respectively, Brad Vallance and Daniel Corran co-founded Capitalise Finance based on several key principles: trust, communication, service and to always act in your best interests. With a proven track record, the personalised service provided sets us apart, resulting in repeat clients who enthusiastically refer family and friends.
At Capitalise Finance we take the time to strategically customise your finance solutions, thoroughly reviewing your overall position to match your lending with your financial goals and objectives. Clients often hear about a specific interest rate or see a lender promotion advertised and assume that it will work best for them without realising the need for an objective and thorough review of their own circumstances.
Navigating your way through the property market can be daunting enough without having your finance properly sorted. As Brokers we are independent and work for our clients, not for the lenders. Under new Best Interests Duty legislation, all brokers including Capitalise Finance must adhere to these strict principles to ensure that we always act in the best interests of every client we provide advice for.
All of our Brokers are ASIC licensed credit representatives and full members of Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).
As Brokers we have access to an extensive panel of lenders providing both lender choice and product choice. If you walk directly into a bank, they can offer their products and their products only. How do you know that they’re the most suitable to you personally and have the sharpest rates applicable? Each lender also has its own niches, some do certain things better than others and without the insight and experience of utilising a Broker, how are you to know what lender and product will be right for you and that the bank is truly acting in your best interests when providing advice?
It seems all too common that banks (and some Brokers) simply sell products and interest rates without looking at how people conduct their day-to-day banking, let alone taking the time to understand their short, medium and long-term financial goals and objectives.
Dealing directly with a lender is like handing in your paperwork, crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. If you need your car serviced you use a mechanic, you get your hair cut at a hairdresser, and yet people spend often don’t seek professional advice for what is usually the largest and most important financial transaction of their lives. Years of experience regarding loan structures, property scenarios and how to avoid potential problems of obtaining finance, have saved our clients untold hours of time and stress.
There is a step-by-step process that is followed however having said that, as people we are all different and that’s definitely the case in a financial sense too. We all have different jobs and careers, some of us are self-employed or on a salary, full-time, part-time or casual employed, we have various assets and liabilities, living expenses, and varying risk tolerance toward debt and so on. All of these factors come into our calculations of strategically tailoring the finance options for each client.
Our services are at no cost to our clients because we are paid a commission by the lender post-settlement of any loan introduced, which is fully disclosed in our documentation. With Brokers now originating approximately 60% of all loans nationwide and growing, many lenders view Brokers as an extension of their own staff without the requirement of paying a salary, superannuation, office space, phone etc. As an average, Brokers receive 0.625% of the loan amount and a trailing management fee of 0.15% p.a. on the balance thereafter, to provide ongoing service and support.
We build ongoing and lasting relationships with our clients. Our business model is not based on completing a singular transaction and so our service certainly doesn’t stop once your loan settles. We encourage our clients to contact us regularly and our clients come back to us year after year as we help them put in place whatever their financial goals and objectives may be.
Personalised service, trust, communication and knowledge that our client’s best interests are always complied with are the key to every application we submit to a lender.
